Elizabeth or better known to others who were close as Lizzy was new to 51 this was here first day and already she met her new partner Chloe though it was quiet so far but she didn't dare say it out loud she learnt that on her first day at her previous firehouse. Elizabeth had yet to run into anyone of her sister's friends which was nice though she was bound to run into someone at some point it was inevitable. But right now she only need to focus on one thing and that was to work out some arrgration before heading back to the lockers to take some happy pills . Lizzy stretched her arms as she prepared to practice her punching she knew about the competition between fire and PD and would love nothing more to be ready and get a shot at one of them. She remembered stories Leslie would tell her and she wished she had attended but she always thought there be more time to go with Leslie but that wasn't going to happen now. It wasn't like she didn't hang with her far from it but didn't mean she didn't have regrets. Lizzy took in a deep breath moving in her right then her left moving faster focusing on her breathing as she punched the bag . It was one thing she loved about her old firehouse as well. Lizzy had many reasons to be at this new firehouse she lied to herself saying it was for a new start but maybe it was to be closer to the people who her sister talked about sure she was hurting and her sister death was the cause and maybe being here was more damaging then good but she was here and she wasn't planning on leaving anytime soon. Gabby was busy minding her own that day, her brother had already given her grief that morning about the upcoming competition between fire and PD and she was still trying to find out who would he the golden gloves for the police department. A silver gloves herself Gabby knew what she was doing but then family stopped her from taking part most events, after all if she beat anyone from PD it was her brother that would have a hard time too. Easier to just coach people to win than to do it herself. Then again she hardly needed a ring to do that.
It was minding her own self that day that had her thinking about everything, Louie and Matt how she would have loved to have Shay there with her. Her best friend to sit and chat to and now how she had moved back to ambulance too with Peter as her new partner. It was a lot of change and she only wished that Shay had been there to enjoy it with her. It was like taking a trip down memory lane as she walked her way into the training area until she set eyes upon a woman.
She stopped Gabby mid step as for a second or two she could have sworn she was facing Shay, right there in front of her. It took Gabby a moment to see the girl separately to the face of her best friend as she stood there stunned. “What are you doing in here?” She asked the girl having never seen her before but still she was too startled by the resemblance to not ask a stupid question. She was stood hitting the punching bag yet there it was a question that was as loaded as ever.
Gabby had never been the subtle kind, to the point and exact about things there was no icing or frills. Everything was spoken out loud and people generally got used to it though she hardly meant to be rude she was simply startled by the resemblance.

Elizabeth was taken back by the line of questing as she thought it was quite obvious what she was doing though being her first shift she held back the tone and play nice with the women before her. Though Lizzy wasn't a push over either and could at times let her temper get the better of her more times then she liked. Lizzy stopped punching the bag wiping the sweat from her forehead before stretching out her right arm not smiling but she wasn't angry either . "I'm Elizabeth Shay though most call me Lizzy as for what I'm doing I'm sure it was quite obvious and if your in the firehouse I'm sure your bright enough to figure it out." Lizzy smirked but it didn't stay too long before she took back to the bag she needed to get ready for the upcoming competition though even if she wasn't chosen she wanted a piece in the ring it would make quite the statement more then her transferring firehouses which always brought up gossip which she was hoping to avoid. Lizzy punched the bag faster and harder learning in as she worked off her aggression and nervousness of being here in the first place. "What brings you to the training area? competition training or just working on your figure though you seem to have that covered nicely." Lizzy smiled she was trying to warm up to her but that took time for her to do with most and then there were tons of people who couldn't get used to her ways of approaching people but she wasn't about to change to suit others. No Lizzy was the type of person who did what she wanted though her sisters were all different but did share a sort of resemblance and common bond though it was damaged as of late with Megan ever since Leslie's death. Gabby was too shocked by the woman’s appearance to dispense with the niceties in life. Her usual hey, welcome to fifty one speech was long gone as the person she was thinking of was gone from her life and yet a reminder of her stood right in her line of sight. Gabby could see the lack of a smile though she hardly expected it and then with the outstretched hand she heard that name. Shay, what she was Shay no how could this be happening she thought as her face said as much by the look she gave the woman.
“What did you say your name was? If this is some kind of joke then you walk your behind right out of those doors.” Gabby said harshly, no her best friends name was not to be used to be toyed with or joked with. It was on the ambulance as a lasting reminder of the person the house had lost, the friend to everyone and yes they had their differences but that never mattered in the long run. Gabby was hardly sure if she was angry or just too stunned to do much other than look at the Elizabeth Shay, that was until her head started to work again.
There was a sister, Lizzy the sister she wondered though surely that would be just too difficult for her. It was her sister’s house, the place... Gabby’s head only snapped back into things hearing the words spoke as she tried to understand a lot all at once. “I was just looking to see if anyone needed any help with training for the match.” She explained a little less hostile than she had previously been. “Thanks for the compliment, I take it your here for that match too because your figure doesn’t need work either.” She said trying to smile though she was still stunned.
“You’re Shay’s sister?” She asked just for clarification on the matter as she stared at the woman. They looked similar, a passing glance and Gabby had even thought she was seeing her best friend back in the house. How was Kelly going to take it she wondered though it was all a big what was going on around there to her. Gabby had no idea what was happening as all she could think of was it was Shay’s sister.

Elizabeth didn't know what the women was going on about and why she was so rude but after her words she didn't have to dwell on it for too long. Of course Lizzy had to run into someone who knew who her sister was but it was clear Leslie hadn't mentioned her a lot it seemed. Lizzy rolled her eyes though because if this women thought she was simply going to leave Firehouse 51 she was clearly high. "My name is indeed Shay Elizabeth Shay though friends call me Lizzy but you clearly haven't earned that . Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed ?" Elizabeth was going to continue but she figured she try to remain cool and seeing as she finally asked for clarification she was going to allow Gabby's mistake pass for now seeing as she was one of the people who knew her sister after all. "But yes I'm here to practice for the upcoming match and it was far better then staying in the kitchen plus I was trying to avoid the stares but guess in the long run it was unavoidable. Leslie always talked about the house made it seem far better then others a place for people looking for something. " Lizzy wasn't exactly sure why she transferred over but she was for sure feeling little uneasy as she bet the others who knew her would as well. Lizzy moved back to her bag giving it few more hits harder then before it was going to be a long day that was for sure. "Though I don't want any special treatment or sympathy and believe me I don't want any jokes either about my sister so do I get to stay at the house or should I start packing?" Lizzy asked little less harsh of a tone but she was clearly not liking how Gabby was talking to her though she had to respect her protectiveness of her sister and that gave her points in her book. Gabby was taken back when the woman asked if she had gotten out of the wrong side of the bed. “No, I just... you look so like her.” Gabby said trying not to bite Elizabeth’s head off for simply looking like her sister. Gabby already knew she was an acquired taste and people got used to her eventually but yes she had an attitude some days. It was just the way she was, better to snap and bite than to sit and think the world was ending every single day. Shay would have understood that she thought trying not to dwell on it.
Gabby grinned hearing that Shay talked about hte place, “She was a good person, a great partner too.” It had been a while since Gabby had gotten on with anyone as well as she had done Leslie. “Oh I’m Gabby Gabriela Dawson well Casey now but yeah, I was your sisters partner.” Gabby tried to explain as she held out her hand to the woman though with that meant that she was with her that day too, swapped places with Leslie when it should have been her that was lost and not Leslie. “This house is the best place to be and if you need family, then you’ve got it here. Besides anyone looks at you the wrong way send them to me and I’ll straighten them out for you.” Gabby said willing to do just that.
Then again most of the house knew that she would flatten anyone who did anything out of line without a second thought. Gabby watched Elizabeth trying not to stare at her, her sister was at the house as Gabby felt a certain protectiveness toward her. Shay had been family to her and now her sister was at the same house, it by extension made Elizabeth as much family as Shay had been. Gabby grinned liking the less harsh tone though it was funny to draw the comparisons between the Shay sisters. “Oh you can stay, I’m good with it.” She said before she pointed to her punching. “Try keeping your hands a little lower and your elbows tight?” She suggested as she punched the bag to show her.

Elizabeth could tell how much Gabby cared for her sister and of course it made senses being partners but it was more then that she could tell by the way she talked about her darling sister. Though he past tense was upsetting but she was gone that was a fact just as much as her being a good person and a great partner. Though Elizabeth did blame many people for her sisters death but it narrowed down but she be lying if she said she didn't blame Gabby at one point. Though it was something she got over with as she truly knew who was responsible for her sister's death and that was her she blamed herself . Though Elizabeth was not regretting her choice to come to 51 as much as before hearing Gabby's declaration not that she couldn't tell others off but it was appreciated. Elizabeth had to admit she didn't expected to get advice from her but she took it moving her hands lower and elbows tight as she took few more punches improving better then she had been at least. "I'm glad I can stay it be awkward transferring out of two firehouses what would people say" Lizzy let out a smirk it had been awhile since she actually felt like smiling with out the aid of something else to do so. "Like this? Or should my hands be lower. God not the first time I've said that before." Elizabeth had to admit it was far better with Gabby then in the kitchen and already she was cracking some jokes she had to admit her and Leslie shared a sense of humor and other things as well but they did have their differences as well. "So Casey huh. then you must be married to Matt. Had the pleasure of meeting him and Brittney and Erin at Molly's the other night. " It was true she met them though most of the night had been a blur but she did meet them though she sure hoped she didn't cause any issues with those three last night. Gabriela Dawson,

Gabby had no time for anyone that got at Shay’s sister. Either sister for that matter and with Elizabeth now working at fifty one then Gabby would do everything she could for the woman simply because her sister was one of those people who came along once in a life time. Her best friend and best partner she could have hoped for, it was never always plain sailing but then like any friendship it had its ups and downs. She was just glad her sister had chosen fifty one as her house as it would be nice to get to know a family member.
“Yeah, plus the paperwork involved but dont you let anyone tell you where you should and shouldn’t be. Take it from me; if you want to be here then it’s your choice and no one else’s.” Gabby said not wanting Lizzy to get it into her head that she had to leave just because people had an issue. No it simply was unfair to make the woman leave. Fifty one was all about family and she was Shay’s family so by extension the woman was more than welcome in Gabby’s eyes. It simply made sense to her that her sister worked at the house.
“Oh really?” Gabby said hearing her joke, “Yeah you’ve got it, keep your hands and arms like that and you can pack a tougher punch.” Gabby was all for beating the CPD at heart, sure she had allegiances to both sides but then there was nothing better than watching the smirks fall off the cops faces. Fire department all the way. Gabby nodded when they spoke about Casey, there were days when she could hardly believe it herself. “Really at Molly’s huh.” She said grinning.
“So what did you think to the place and the people? I might be married to the guy but work and home are entirely separate so dish the dirt.” Gabby said loving nothing better than gossip about things in general. It also gave her something to do for later too when she could smile at people knowingly.

Elizabeth was starting to like Gabby already it felt like she could get along with her and her being friends with her sister helped especially her reassuring words made Elizabeth feel at home . Of course she wanted to be at fifty one and Gabby had a point she shouldn't leave if she wanted to be here. Truth was she loved her other firehouse but she left due to her problems with her partner and her secret usage problem. She did however wanted to make this place a home though she remembered Boden three strike and your out policy and she made sure to stay on the straight and narrow or at least not get caught. "Tell me about the amount of paperwork I had to file and then the meeting with Boden I thought I was going to drown in the shear amount but I do have to thank you for the assistance in my training. I wanted to take down the CPD a notch and bruise a few egos." Lizzy didn't have a problem with the CPD but she was competitive and she didn't like to loose in about anything she loved drinking games as well though even when she won she felt like she lost the next morning. Though hearing Gabby's prompting on dishing the dirt brought her back to the moments when she actually talked with her sister she hadn't dished anything with most though this was her husband after all. "Well if I'm too be truly honest your husband is pretty hot if your into that sort of thing I'm not but I do respect him and he is really super nice. I do feel bad as I may have made a fool of myself though the bar was lovely though not a good place for meeting people as your husband pointing out to me." Lizzy smirked as she tried to remember more of their night drawing a blank . " Though most of the night is a blank I do feel I upset Brittney somehow and her and Erin took off and your husband cut me off and I got home I assume by cab.. but I was hoping to see Kelly Leslie talked about him a lot and you of course . " Lizzy did have more thoughts on the rest of the people she saw around the firehouse though it was only her first shift though her first impressions was what Gabby was asking for wasn't she. " I also met my new partner she tends to ramble but she seems like an alright girl though not my type either. Like to find someone well like yourself Dawson ."

Gabby had always walked a fine line with the Chief, the man was a friend and just like family to her but there were days when he put his foot down on her and she bit back. Above all Wallace was a friend and had been there for her many times personally and in the house, she never always saw it at the time but once she had managed to cool herself off. Those were the times when she could really appreciate what he did for the house and the people in it.
“Trust me I would love to see you do it, those guys need a reality check at times and who better to do it than the fire department.” She said with a grin, oh it was going to be a good night she just knew it. “Boden, he’s a good guy and the paperwork is just... unspeakable but this place is a family so if you can give us a chance to get used to things then you’ll find a great place here.” Gabby had a nose for gossip, ironicly she was the one usually getting in the middle of it or finding an issue but she missed her girl talk. On Truck it had been different and now she was back to being a paramedic she was back to getting into everyone’s business.
Gabby listened to Elizabeth as she grinned, “Oh he’s hot and nice too.” She said with a smile though she shook her head at the mention of making a fool of herself. “It’s Molly’s we’ve all done and said things there besides what’s outside work and inside work is separate. And he did? Well I’ll get him told about that, it’s a great place though really anyone outside of cops, medics and fire-fighters it might be tough to meet people.” She said thinking on it as she smirked at the mention of the night being a blank.
“Kelly, yes he’s around I just don’t know how he’ll take things.” Gabby said honestly, there were times when she thought that Severide was on the straight and narrow and other times when it was anyone’s guess what went on in the guy’s head. “It might take him a minute but your sister and him were best friends and I mean close.” Gabby knew her and Shay were friends but what the thing was between Shay and Severide that was different and a lot tougher of a bond that it had sent the guy spiralling.
“Chloe, not really met her yet just seen her around but I’m glad she seems alright because all that time spent with someone in a tin can you soon find out what it is like.” She said with a grin as Elizabeth mentioned someone like herself. “Well there’s only one me but there are lots of others like me, trust me.” She said with a grin not entirely sure what to say to that at all.
